Arriving

Most arrivals into Maldives come through Velana International (MLE) — 20 to 55 minutes by seaplane, or a domestic flight and a speedboat.

Seaplanes fly in daylight only. A late arrival at Malé means a night in the capital before the onward leg — the single most common planning error in the Maldives.
