How this works

Limited series are allocated, not sold. The maker decides, and the decision follows what is already in the client's garage — which means the first car of a marque is always the hardest, and the fifth is comparatively simple.

Outside allocation there is the specialist market for delivery-mileage and collector cars, and there is hire, which is a different business with different paperwork. We are explicit about which one a given car falls into.

Before you ask

  • Allocation

    Limited series go to existing owners of the marque first. There is no queue to join.

  • Registration

    Homologation and plates differ by country, and they decide where a car can actually be used.

  • Transport

    Enclosed and covered between countries — never driven to delivery.

  • Storage

    Climate-controlled, with the car exercised rather than left standing.

  • Can you obtain a limited-series car without owning the marque already?

    Through the factory, rarely — allocation goes to existing owners first. Through the specialist market, yes: delivery-mileage examples exist, at a premium over list.

  • Is a car easier to hire or to buy for a short stay?

    To hire, almost always — and the paperwork is entirely different. We say which of the two a request actually is before quoting it.
